A pioneering institution since 1875

How we're different

At Park University, we stand out in the higher education arena. Our flagship campus in Parkville, Missouri was built by students who quarried stone from the school’s land and built the structure as a means of earning money for tuition. Historically, our students have worked hard to accomplish their goals, which still rings true today.

Here, we pride ourselves on being an institution that provides educational opportunities to those who have a desire to learn and a drive to advance their careers. We offer an affordable education at an accredited, private university, where classes are kept small enough so you can experience one-on-one interaction with your instructors.

We know our students reside nationwide. The good news is that we are where you are. We offer 41 campus center locations around the country and online degree programs. With a wide variety of degree programs offered at our campus locations, we make sure your education is accessible and relevant to your career goals.

Diversity is a key value at Park University. Our demographically-diverse population of non-traditional adult students has, for many years, served as a central component of our educational mission.

When Park University was founded in 1875, we openly enrolled both women and men, which was unusual at the time. Two of the initial 17 students were Native Americans.

The school became a pioneer among higher education institutions for implementing racial integration. In the 1950s, African-American students were welcomed in our residence halls.

To this day, Park University continues to educate generations of students from diverse backgrounds, providing affordable access to a private college, recognized as a leader in higher education.

Park University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, (KAN214F), 230 South LaSalle Street, Suite 7-500, Chicago, IL 60604 (800-621-7440).
